5A- Older Persons Acute Care (OPAC)
This is a 20-bed geriatric medical ward within the Royal Hobart Hospital, providing care for patients with acute medical conditions, co-morbidities, and cognitive impairments related to delirium and dementia. A multidisciplinary, patient-centred care team approach is used in delivering care to all admitted patients.
You will need:
* Knowledge of continuous quality improvement (safety and quality) and the application of evidence-based practice.
* Ability to undertake patient/client education and participate in ongoing professional development.
* Current knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and practices in line with legal requirements and NMBA standards.

Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent, full-time or part-time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for twelve months from the publication date, this process may be used to fill similar vacancies.
Salary:
$78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata), plus 11.5% superannuation. Salary is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range ($99,455 - $105,995) is subject to successful progression application.
Additional allowances, such as Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10%, may be available based on qualification.

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
