The Opportunity
We're seeking a Lead NPI Project Manager to drive the introduction of Agscent's innovative diagnostic products from late-stage development through to commercial manufacturing. This is a foundational role in a dynamic startup environment where you'll build NPI processes and systems from the ground up while managing complex, cross-functional projects. You'll be a hands-on leader establishing design transfer protocols, manufacturing scale-up procedures, and quality documentation frameworks.
What You'll Do
Establish and implement NPI governance processes, stage-gate frameworks, and milestone deliverables
Lead NPI initiatives for Agscent Breath and future diagnostic products through concept, feasibility, design transfer, and production launch
Develop and manage detailed project plans including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
Manage design transfer activities and coordinate pilot production runs with development partners and CMOs
Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) input during product development
Support coordination of functional teams and interface with academic research partners
Conduct formal risk assessments and develop mitigation plans across functional teams
Mentor junior project team members as the team grows
What You'll Bring
5+ years of experience in NPI, product development, or manufacturing engineering within medical devices, diagnostics, or related regulated industries
Proven track record leading NPI projects from concept through to commercial production launch
Strong background in design transfer, manufacturing scale-up, and process validation
Experience managing cross-functional teams and external supplier relationships
Experience working in startup or scale-up environments with ambiguity and evolving requirements
Proficiency in Agile project management methodologies
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical), Science, or related technical discipline
MBA, Six Sigma, Lean, or DFSS training is a plus
