Forest Hill Veterinary Hospital has been a cornerstone of the local community for over 35 years. Right now, we're looking for a passionate, experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our brilliant team full time.
We're a dedicated crew of 4 vets, 10 nurses, and a groomer based at 357 Canterbury Road, Forest Hill. We offer a full range of small animal services including consultations, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, oncology, reproduction, dentistry, in-house pathology, and emergency care. This is all backed by modern facilities including digital and dental X-ray, dental X-ray, a dedicated surgical suite, ultrasound and so much more!

What you'll be doing
* Supporting our vets across all aspects of nursing – anaesthesia, surgery, patient care, and nurse consults
* Delivering exceptional care and communication to our loyal, long‐standing clientele – treating every patient like your own
* Reception duties including client queries, appointment scheduling, account management, and creating a standout customer experience
* General nursing tasks including anaesthetic monitoring, patient admission and discharge, IV catheter placement, and blood collection
* Assisting across a varied and interesting caseload – soft tissue, orthopaedic, oncology, reproduction, and more
* Keeping the practice clean, organised, and running like clockwork (everyone pitches in here – vets included)
* Sharing a range of shifts including 1 in 4 weekends
What we're looking for
* Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with 2+ years of clinical experience
* Strong skills across anaesthesia, surgery, dentals, and general nursing procedures
* A genuine love for animals and the people who care for them
* Excellent communication and client service skills – warm, professional, and reliable
* A team‐first attitude with the ability to stay calm and focused in a busy environment
* Flexible availability across a rotating roster including weekends
