Residential Care Officer

About the Role
Elite Disability Support Gold Coast Pty Ltd is a growing NDIS provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support. Due to increased demand, we are seeking experienced Residential Care Officers to support high-needs participants in the Southport area.
This role involves supporting participants with complex physical and psychosocial needs in residential and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide direct care and supervision to residents with disabilities and complex needs
· Assist with personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing, feeding and mobility
· Perform manual handling tasks, including participant transfers and use of mobility equipment
· Support participants with high physical and behavioural support needs
· Assist residents with daily living activities and promote independence
· Support residents’ social, emotional and behavioural development
· Monitor wellbeing and report changes to supervisors and allied health professionals
· Maintain accurate case notes, incident reports and progress documentation
· Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, organisational policies and WHS requirements
· Work collaboratively with families, support coordinators and external service providers
· Drive a disability van, including loading and unloading participants safely using appropriate equipment
· Support community access, appointments and social participation
Essential Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
· Minimum 1–2 years full-time experience working in disability or community services
· Demonstrated experience supporting high-needs participants
· Proven ability to perform manual handling duties
· Experience driving a disability van, including participant transfers
· Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
· NDIS Worker Screening Check
· First Aid Certificate
· CPR Certificate
· Current Police Check
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Qualifications (Required or Highly Regarded)
