Job Details

* Monday to Friday 6am – 2:30pm
* Pay: $50/hr- $57/hr + Super depending on experience
* Immediate start for the right person

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join a busy manufacturing team. The CNC programmer plays a key role in developing, setting up, and running CNC machinery such as turret punches, tube lasers, and press brakes to produce precision sheet metal components. This position demands solid technical knowledge, hands-on shop floor experience and a strong focus on improving production efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop, modify, and optimise CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for turret punches, tube lasers and press brakes
* Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and customer requirements into accurate machine instructions
* Select and prepare appropriate tooling, dies, fixtures and machine parameters for each job
* Perform machine calibration, adjustments, and troubleshooting to ensure consistent quality and minimise downtime
* Support production schedules by ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable machine operation
* Inspect finished components to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards
* Liaise with internal stakeholders across Australia and the Asia Pacific region to support operational alignment and best practices
* Record production data and identify opportunities for process optimisation and continuous improvement
* Work closely with design engineers, production planners, and manufacturing teams to achieve optimal outcomes

Requirements:

* Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
* Trade qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing or Sheet Metal Fabrication (preferred)
* Minimum 3-5 years proven hands-on experience in CNC programming and machine operation within the sheet metal industry
* Proficient in programming and operating CNC Turret Punches, Tube Lasers, and Press Brakes
* Skilled at interpreting and working from technical drawings, blueprints and CAD models
* In-depth knowledge of tooling selection, material characteristics and sheet metal fabrication processes
* Experienced in using CAD/CAM software, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent tools
* Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
* Committed to maintaining workplace safety, quality standards and manufacturing best practices
