Charlie Bakery is looking for an experienced Operations & Business Manager to step into a full-time role and be trained to take over from our current manager, who will be leaving in June.
This is not a short-term or placeholder role. We are looking for someone who wants to embed themselves into the business, take real ownership, and help drive Charlie forward as it continues to grow.
About the Role
You will start alongside the current manager and owner, learning all areas of the business before progressively taking full responsibility. This role spans day-to-day operations, people management, systems, and business development.
You will be trusted to manage the business as if it were your own.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end daily operations across all sites
* Staff management, leadership, and rostering
* Ordering, stock control, and supplier management
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and food safety
* Ensuring systems and procedures are followed and improved
* Identifying inefficiencies and proactively implementing solutions
* Supporting growth initiatives, new ideas, and operational improvements
* Acting as a key decision-maker and problem-solver in the owner's absence
About You
* Proven experience in management, ideally within hospitality or multi-site operations
* Strong organisational and leadership skills
* Confident managing people, performance, and expectations
* Commercially minded with experience in business development or operational improvement
* Highly proactive – you notice issues before they become problems
* Comfortable taking responsibility and accountability
* Calm under pressure and capable of running a fast-paced environment
