About the Role :
Join Curtin University's Assessment and Curriculum Evolution team as a Curriculum Project Officer within the Office of the Academic Registrar and take the lead in coordinating and managing a range of curriculum-related projects, including the Assessment project.
Reporting to the Manager, Assessment and Curriculum Evolution, you will ensure projects are delivered successfully while fostering clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Your contributions will be central to supporting the University's educational goals and enhancing the quality and impact of our curriculum.
Your responsibilities will include :
* Manage and facilitate project communications, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to coordinate their input into the project.
* Assist in developing business cases and project initiation documentation, including timelines, implementation strategies, evaluation methods, and communication strategies.
* Coordinate the implementation of project plans and initiatives, ensuring they align with project objectives and timelines.
* Monitor project activities against schedules, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as needed.
* Resolve operational problems and facilitate the development and implementation of initiatives, processes and systems for effective and efficient administration of the project.
Who we are looking for (selection criteria) :
* Qualifications and Experience : A relevant degree and substantial experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and expertise.
* Course Design Knowledge : Demonstrated understanding of course structure and design principles to support high‑quality educational delivery.
* Technology Proficiency : Confident in using a range of online educational technologies to enhance learning and streamline course delivery.
* Organisational Skills : Exceptional ability to coordinate projects, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
* Interpersonal Skills : Strong interpersonal and cross‑cultural communication skills, with a client‑focused approach and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Communication Skills : Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and clear approach to communication.
* Problem Solving : Demonstrated initiative and creativity in addressing challenges, including complex or non‑standard issues.
* Collaboration and Independence : Proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment to achieve shared goals.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Curtin University course structures.
* Experience using one or more of the following systems : Akari, Student One, Challenge, SONIA, WordPress, or Blackboard.
Role Requirements :
As this is a fixed‑term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin's satisfaction.

The Office of the Academic Registrar at Curtin University supports and facilitates the university's governance functions, with regard to both internal and external reporting requirements.
