Burlington Hotel Bunbury is seeking an experienced and highly driven Venue Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy and well-established hospitality venue. This is a very hands‑on leadership role suited to a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about team leadership, customer experience, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the overall operation of the venue, including bar, restaurant, events and accommodation
* Lead, train, and develop a high‑performing hospitality team
* Create and manage rosters, staffing levels, and wage costs
* This role has some administrative requirements approximately 8 hours per week, the bulk of the duties required are customer facing and leading in the operations (this is not a primarily office/admin based role)
* Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, health & safety, and venue policies
* Monitor financial performance, budgets, stock control, and gross profit
* Drive sales, service standards, and customer satisfaction
* Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
* Work closely with the owner to implement business strategies
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Venue Manager, Hotel Manager, or Senior Hospitality Manager
* Strong leadership and people‑management skills that leads from the front
* A positive can‑do attitude who is very consistent in their approach and sets the tone for the team environment
* Solid understanding of hospitality financials and cost control
* Ordering, stocktaking and reconciliation skills
* Proven event sales skills
* In‑depth knowledge of liquor licensing and compliance requirements
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
* Very strong computer skills including POS and Microsoft suite of applications
* Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
