Playground Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, responsible for the efficient delivery of maintenance schedules within our playgrounds portfolio. As a Playground Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee a crew of operational staff, providing hands-on leadership and technical guidance to ensure maintenance activities and reactive repairs are carried out effectively across a diverse range of assets.
Key responsibilities include ensuring asset compliance, safety, and functionality, working closely with Team Leaders and technical specialists to support resource planning and assess operational capacity, while maintaining adherence to worksite safety standards, regulatory compliance, and clear communication with stakeholders.
This role plays a vital part in maintaining safe, accessible, and high-quality public spaces for the community.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* QLD working with children blue card (essential)
* Demonstrated ability to use power tools to perform necessary work activities
* Level 2 Operational Inspection course or willing to obtain
* Current manual 'C' class driver's licence with the ability to obtain an 'MR' driver's licence
* Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD)
* Certificate III in Horticulture or significant experience in managing on-ground operational crews in the delivery of allocated Horticultural work activities
* Trade-based background – preferably carpentry or mechanical fitter/welder
* Knowledge and understanding of Australian Playground Safety Standards (AS4685:2021)
* Previous experience of installation and maintenance of play equipment and parks assets
* First Aid/CPR/Emergency Life Support Certificate
* Agricultural Chemical Distribution Certificate (ACDC) accreditation
* Accredited Chainsaw ticket (Level 2)
* Visual Inspection Park Facilities accreditation
