THE ROLE
Applications are sought from experienced Senior Resource Development Geologists to join the team at Ora Banda.
The responsibilities of this role will include:
* Supervise and provide technical mentoring and training to field personnel to foster an industry best-practice approach to all geology functions.
* Supervise drilling programs and drilling contractors.
* Compile brownfields and resource targets to fuel the project pipeline and advance projects through to the Resource modelling team.
* Liaise closely with the Resource modelling team to ensure collection of appropriate data required for robust resource models: geometallurgy, geotechnical, drill density, modelling of lithology, faults, lodes/mineralisation
* Perform geological mapping (including historical pit mapping) and geochemical sampling programs for target generation and definition as required.
* Critically review and continuously improve brownfields and resource development targets and targeting techniques (geophysics, structural geology, geochemistry).
* Contribute as required to the identification of exploration targets and planning of exploration programs.
* Working closely with the Exploration function, allocate resources (people, equipment) as required together to ensure coverage to execute plan.
* Collaborate with the mine geology site teams, to harness deposit knowledge, and share geology knowledge to drive the discovery of new mines
* Geologically log drill chips and diamond drill core.
* Produce all required technical plans and sections to an industry best-practice standard.
* Regularly report on program status via daily reports, weekly and monthly reporting
* Provide input into project reviews, resource modelling and budgeting.
* Contribute to discussions with the Resource Development and Exploration team on the review of resource development and exploration opportunities.
* Maintain geological databases to record quality data and report on drilling, environmental rehabilitation and tenement activities.
* Timely delivery of validated, quality drilling data to the Perth DBAs.

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* Tertiary qualified Geologist with recent and relevant regional exploration experience (ideally 7+ years post graduate).
* General geological experience including geological modelling, sampling techniques and reserve and resource estimation.
* Drill supervision experience.
* Be passionate about making a new discovery and converting ounces into Resource.
* Exposure to mining, mine geology, and operational experience is highly regarded.
* Current C-Class manual drivers' licence.
* Be computer literate, including a competent user of industry standard mining and GIS software, preferably Micromine, Leapfrog and ArcGIS.
* Ability to work collaboratively across various site and Perth-based teams.
