We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self‑motivated Occupational Therapist to join our New England Community Aged Care Service (NECACS). In this rewarding role, you'll deliver high‑quality clinical services to adults living within the Tamworth Regional Council area, supporting optimal health and wellbeing outcomes for patients, their families and carers.
You'll provide assessment and intervention in the community, including discharge planning for Manilla and Barraba Hospitals and post‑acute care interventions. Working both independently and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in helping people remain safe and independent in their homes and communities.
As part of the NECACS team, you'll join a group of four CHSP‑funded Occupational Therapists who provide strong professional support and collaboration. You'll also receive guidance and mentoring from three Senior OTs and a Level 1/2 OT, with additional support from a manager who is also an experienced Occupational Therapist.
We value your autonomy – you'll have the opportunity to manage your own waitlist, appointments, and workload while being part of a connected and encouraging team environment.
About You
You're a proactive and organised clinician with strong planning, communication, and time management skills. You're passionate about rural health care and ready to contribute your expertise in home modifications and equipment prescription to support older adults in achieving their goals.
