The LV Fitter is responsible for providing quality and timely preventative maintenance and repairs to the LV Fleet.

Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160 km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits.
Reporting to the Maintenance Light Vehicle Leading Hand, the Technician – Mechanical Light Vehicle is responsible for providing quality and timely preventative maintenance and repairs to the Light Vehicle Fleet. This role ensures full compliance with Vault Minerals' operational procedures, legislative requirements, and best practice safety standards to achieve production and safety targets.
This position will be offered on an 8:6 7:7 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton, including both day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities of this Role Will Include:
* Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the Toyota Light Vehicle and ancillary Fleet to ensure high availability and reliability
* Conduct quality fault finding and diagnostics to ensure accurate and timely repairs
* Ensure all maintenance activities are completed to the highest standard and in compliance with site and statutory regulations
* Minimise production disruptions by ensuring access to critical parts and equipment
* Maintain strong relationships with external service providers and suppliers
* Ensure all stock items used are booked out of the store
* Respond promptly to urgent breakdowns impacting production or safety
* Complete all documentation and work orders with required information and sign-offs
* Communicate effectively with production and maintenance teams
* Attend and actively participate in shift change meetings and provide accurate handover notes
* Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and cost savings
* Assist with other maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor
About You
Experience & Qualifications:
* Recognised relevant Trade Qualification
* Minimum 2 years' experience in an underground maintenance operation (highly regarded)
Required Certifications:
* WA Manual Driver's Licence (C-Class)
