We are a growing construction-based business seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Entry & Accounts Assistant to support our team during a period of staff absence and upcoming maternity leave.
This is a fixed-term position through to the end of 2026, with the role to be formally reviewed at that time and potential for extension.
About the Role
This position plays a critical role in supporting the financial and operational side of our business. Experience within a construction, trade or building environment is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
• Entering and managing purchase orders
• Processing supplier invoices and bills
• Reconciling accounts and supplier statements
• Assisting with progress claims and job cost tracking
• Maintaining accurate data entry across accounting systems
• Liaising with suppliers and internal team members
• General accounts and administrative support
About You
• Proven experience in a construction, trade or building industry environment, plumbing would be highly advantageous
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in construction or trade industry is required
• Strong understanding of purchase orders, invoicing and reconciliations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Professional communication skills
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks would be great)
• Australian work rights are required for this position
This role requires someone who understands the fast-paced nature of the construction industry and the importance of accuracy in financial administration.
