In this pivotal role, you will directly collaborate with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in crafting and implementing remarkable menus while upholding impeccable standards of food excellence and presentation. Moreover, you will oversee the seamless day-to-day functioning of the kitchen operations within the Palm House kitchen, including Live interactive Buffet, room service for our 196 rooms and our premium VIP Orpheus room. The Role Responsible for their designated section, ensuring adherence to proper procedures in daily food preparation with care. Vigilantly monitors food quality and aims for optimal productivity aligned with management\'s objectives. Serves as a direct liaison between the Executive Sous Chef, kitchen department, and stewarding department. This role assumes accountability for the culinary department in the absence of the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef on the premises. About You Formal trade qualification in a relevant field. Minimum 5 years of job-related experience as a senior Chef. Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and culinary trends. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead, coach and mentor a team. Excellent organisational and time management ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. Keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and delicious dishes. Extensive knowledge of monitoring food costs, minimising waste, managing labour costs, and driving revenue.
