Job Description

* Lead airport workforce planning across forecasting, rostering, and labour optimisation at scale

* Permanent leadership opportunity supporting network‐wide airport operations

At Qantas, we understand our priorities and what needs to be delivered, taking the initiative to keep things moving. Navigating through our complex work environment, we bring teams and individuals together to deliver on our customers' expectations.

Taking ownership is critical. Whether we're working individually or as a group, we challenge ourselves to make progress and deliver results. We won't settle for anything less than the best outcome.

As Manager Planning – Workforce Planning Airports, you will lead the central airport workforce planning team, delivering the long‐range forecasting and labour planning through to roster design and delivery. Your work will directly influence operational performance, employee wellbeing, industrial outcomes, and cost optimisation across the network.

Reporting to the Head of Ground Workforce Planning, you will lead a highly specialised team and act as a trusted advisor to senior operational leaders, airport management teams, and industrial stakeholders.

To be successful, you'll:

* Demonstrate deep expertise in workforce planning, forecasting, and roster design within a large‐scale, operational environment
* Ideally have had exposure to Airline ground handling services and demonstrate the ability to review and analyse processes to identify opportunities
* Confidently interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements, balancing compliance, safety, employee wellbeing, and commercial outcomes
* Lead with credibility and influence, building trusted relationships with Airport Leaders, Airport Planning Managers, and senior stakeholders across the network
* Be comfortable having difficult conversations, including performance management and challenging stakeholder perspectives when required
* Apply strong analytical and problem‐solving skills to translate complex workforce data into clear, actionable insights
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation in workforce planning methodologies, rostering practices, and labour optimisation
* Communicate clearly and effectively, influencing decisions at all levels of the organisation.
