About the Role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Scheduler to work on Naval Construction Branch projects in Perth.
1. Maintain and update Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for projects, managing critical paths, dependencies, and constraints.
2. Generate regular schedule reports with variance analysis and progress updates, providing clear insights to leadership and stakeholders.
3. Provide mentoring and coaching to junior schedulers, reviewing their work and ensuring compliance with Defence scheduling standards.
4. Develop guidance materials, tools, and templates to promote consistent scheduling practices across the team.
5. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to align schedules with project objectives and facilitate workshops to enhance schedule accuracy and stakeholder understanding.
You will be working on a range of defence projects, utilising your skills and experience to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Requirements
* Advanced scheduling expertise, including proficiency in maintaining and updating Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), managing critical paths, dependencies, and constraints effectively.
* Strong analytical and reporting skills to generate detailed schedule reports, perform variance analysis, track progress, forecast completion, and clearly communicate insights to leadership and stakeholders.
* Mentoring and coaching ability, with experience guiding junior schedulers, reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance, and developing training materials and templates for consistent scheduling practices.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, working closely with project managers, engineers, and other teams to align schedules with project goals and facilitate workshops that improve understanding of scheduling impacts.
* Familiarity with Defence scheduling standards and methodologies, ensuring adherence to relevant guidelines while delivering reliable scheduling outputs and comprehensive documentation for project handovers.
* A minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance is required due to the nature of the work.
