Animal management officer (kingston)

Maxima are seeking an experienced Animal Management Officer to join their client, a Local Council based in Kingston.

Casual hourly pay of $42.96. You will be available to work some weekends including on‐call/after‐hours work.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate alleged breaches including wandering animals, excess animals, enclosure issues, pet registration, animal nuisances, property inspections, etc.
• Respond to reports of immediate risk to public health and safety.
• Collect domestic animals contained for collection.
• Gather explicit, factual and impartial evidence.
• Interview witnesses.

To Be Successful

• Current C class driver's license.
• Previous experience in a Local Government setting.
• Thorough knowledge of animal husbandry, animal control and regulation.
• Cert IV in Animal Management highly regarded.
• Strong investigative skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
