Plus, there's equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.**A bit about your role**As the Executive Manager, Network Security Strategy and Compliance Governance, you are accountable for Active Network's Line 1 cyber security governance and compliance delivery across a large, complex telecommunications network, operating within the Three Lines of Defence framework.You play a key role in supporting Line 1 SOCI compliance preparedness as part of a broader, cross‐business‐unit security and compliance team, helping ensure regulatory obligations are met with confidence, consistency and transparency. This includes uplifting TSRMP governance, embedding strong control assurance practices, and maintaining audit‐ready evidence that demonstrates how security obligations are being met in practice.A core focus of the role is strengthening and modernising protective security controls, aligned to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (Protect) and informed by the Essential Eight maturity model. You will help ensure the telecommunications network's defensive posture continues to evolve alongside an increasingly dynamic threat landscape.In doing so, you will, identify gaps in existing protective mechanisms and defensive controls, work closely with Security Architecture to translate those gaps into clear capability requirements and drive delivery of agreed security uplift initiatives through strong programme governance, SteerCos and executive oversight.You are accountable for ensuring that uplift initiatives are delivered, the protective posture is measurably improved, and progress, risk and compliance outcomes are clearly and confidently reported to senior leadership and governance forums.The role works in close partnership with Network Security, Networks teams (including Fixed Wireless and Satellite), Security Group, SEO Infrastructure and Security, as well as legal, procurement, delivery teams, suppliers and partners. Through these relationships, you will help align priorities, strengthen the operating model, and support Asset Owners of Critical Telecommunication Assets and the broader Active Network support and operate teams.**A bit about you**You are a senior cyber security leader with deep experience across governance, risk, compliance and protective control uplift in large, complex and highly regulated telecommunications or critical infrastructure environments.You will have a strong understanding of SOCI and TSRMP obligations, and how they are operationalised in Line 1 and proven experience embedding regulatory requirements into governance, assurance and delivery practices.The ability to assess threat‐driven risk, identify gaps in defensive controls, and work collaboratively with security architecture, network and infrastructure teams to translate strategy into delivered capability.You have a strong track record of overseeing complex security or technology uplift programmes, supported by disciplined governance, SteerCos and executive‐level reporting. You are comfortable operating at senior leadership level, providing clear advice, structured insights and informed recommendations on security posture, compliance and risk.You lead with warmth and conviction, balancing pragmatism with ambition. You create inclusive, high‐trust environments where people feel valued and empowered, and you bring sound commercial and financial judgement to your decision‐making.
