The role of a Child Protection Caseworker is to work sensitively and respectfully with families, children, or young people who may be at risk of harm. This involves complex problem-solving, collaboration with other agencies, and the development of safety plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with family members, children, or young people
* Develop and implement safety plans to ensure the well-being of children and young people
* Manage cases and situations involving high-risk clients and their families
* Participate in court processes, including preparation of documents and attendance
* Engage in individual and group supervision to ensure ongoing professional development
Skills and Qualifications:
* Completed or in final semester of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or Welfare, along with practical experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships
* A valid driver's license (P1 or above) and paid working with children clearance number
