Identitywa are seeking experiencedPositive Behaviour Support Practitioners to join our Clinical and Allied Health team. This role supports people with disability through high‑quality, evidence‑based Behaviour Support that improves quality of life and reduces restrictive practices.
About the role
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will undertake functional behavioural assessments and develop, implement, and review Behaviour Support Plans in line with Positive Behaviour Support principles and NDIS requirements. You will work collaboratively with internal clinical teams, disability support workers, families, and external stakeholders to deliver person‑centred, ethical, and compliant services.
This role is ideal for a practitioner who values collaboration, evidence‑based practice, and meaningful outcomes for people with disability.
Key responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments
* Develop, implement, and review interim and comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
* Design strategies that enhance quality of life and minimise restrictive practices
* Support and coach disability support workers to implement behaviour support strategies
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated service delivery
* Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding requirements, including restrictive practice authorisation and reporting
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation and participant records
About you
You will bring strong clinical judgement, a person‑centred approach, and a commitment to ethical and compliant practice.
Essential
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Suitability confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission at Core or above level
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong alignment with values‑based, rights‑focused disability support
Desirable
* Registration with AHPRA (Psychology or Occupational Therapy) or Speech Pathology Australia
(Social Work qualifications will be considered)
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant allied health discipline
* Experience developing Behaviour Support Plans and managing restrictive practices
* Previous experience as a NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner
