**The Position**
- Position Title: Manager - Social Work
- Classification: Social Worker Grade 6
- Salary per fortnight (exc. super): $6,048.00
- Hours per fortnight: 76 or 80 with ADO
- Employment Status: Full time
- Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination
**Role Description**
- Managers at Bendigo Health are an integral part of the health care service team, providing leadership and direction to a dedicated staffing group. A manager at Bendigo Health should have, or aspire, to, the personal qualities, knowledge and skills as described in the Bendigo Health Staff Capabilities Statement. Social Workers currently provide services to the acute, mental health, rehabilitation inpatient settings and to some community based services. The Manager of Social Work is one of the key members of the Allied Health Heads of Department leadership team responsible for operational, professional and strategic management of the Social Work department.

**The Team**
- The Allied Health team at Bendigo Health comprises over 350 staff including Audiology, Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Psychology/Neuropsychology, Social Work, Speech Pathology and Allied Health Assistance. Allied Health clinicians work in a very broad range of roles and are valued in the contribution they make to the multi-disciplinary team.

- Essential : Degree in Social Work recognised by the AASW and eligibility for AASW national accreditation status
- Desirable : Relevant post graduate qualification, or working towards.
- Desirable : Demonstrated capacity to act as a leader and manager
- Essential : Ability to satisfy the requirements of the Bendigo Health Allied Health Credentialing and Professional Standards
