Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is seeking a dedicated Pathology Specimen Collector to join our Cairns team.

Position: Pathology Specimen CollectorLocation: Kuranda Collection Centre | Cairns, QLDEmployment Type: Part-Time – Monday to Wednesday, 7:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Participation in the Saturday roster is also required.Hourly Rate: $*****–$*****, commensurate with experienceKey ResponsibilitiesCollect biological specimens (blood, urine, etc.) from patients in a safe and professional manner.Ensure all samples are labelled and processed according to established protocols.Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns or questions.Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the collection area.Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.What we are looking forWe greatly value candidates with customer service experience who will make patient care their number one priority.
Other desirable skills and attributes you would have include:Previous experience working in the health, aged care or community sectors and /or a Certificate III in Pathology Specimen CollectionThe confidence to work independently, sometimes in a solo collection centreEfficient time management and problem-solving skillsA willingness to learn new things and enjoy variety within their roleA First Aid CertificateSuccessful candidates will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during their first twelve months of employment.
