W1 Wednesday (Briar Hills) 08:00-14:00, Thursday 08:30-12:30 (Bulleen), Friday 08:00-13:00 (Heidelberg) and Saturday 09:00-12:00 (Doncaster East)
The role
Perm PT (21 hours per week)
Responsibilities
* Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
* Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample
* Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times
* Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
* Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers
Qualifications & Experience
* Experienced Pathology Collector or holder of Cert III in Pathology Collection, or a healthcare background
* Registered Nurse looking for regular daytime shifts
* No experience in Pathology Collection but with a customer service focus and healthcare background; fully paid training offered
* Valid driver's licence with flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
* Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing employment
* Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or valid visa with permission to work
Attributes & Skills
* Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy / Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, high level of empathy
* Organised with strong time management and attention to detail
* Ability to work autonomously, independently in a solo clinic
Workplace Requirements
* Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B is a requirement
* Other vaccinations based on location may be required
