Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking a Senior Communications Advisor to support the delivery of strategic engagement, media and stakeholder management across a major infrastructure program.
In this role, you will lead external engagement activities, providing high-level advice on media, community relations, issues management and stakeholder engagement. You will play a key role in representing the organisation in public-facing forums and ensuring consistent, proactive communication across a complex project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver community engagement, stakeholder relations and correspondence programs across the region
* Lead and mentor a small communications and engagement team to produce high-quality materials
* Provide strategic media and engagement advice to senior stakeholders and project leaders
* Identify emerging risks and communication issues and implement proactive engagement strategies
* Build and maintain strong relationships with community, industry and government stakeholders
* Support consistent messaging and communication across major infrastructure projects
Mandatory Requirements:
* Current Class C driver’s licence and ability to travel to various sites
* Ability to obtain a White Card within six months
* Willingness to undergo employment screening (including criminal history check)
* Ability to provide own PPE in line with site requirements
Desirable Experience:
* Degree in communications, public relations, marketing or equivalent experience
* Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and difficult conversations
* Background in major infrastructure or project environments
* Knowledge of community engagement frameworks (e.g. IAP2)
* Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving performance
