The Role:
Location: Metro Adelaide SA
Duration: 48-month full time Apprenticeship
As a Bricklayer Apprentice, you will learn to construct walls, partitions, and other structures using bricks and blocks. Upon completion, you'll be a highly skilled and valued team member, with career pathways leading to roles such as builder, supervisor, or estimator.
This role will require travel between work sites. A travel allowance may be claimable (conditions apply).
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
* Lay, move, and stack bricks and blocks
* Mix mortar
* Site preparation
* Level and finish concrete
* Perform measurements and calculations
* General labouring duties as required
About You:
To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will need:
* A genuine interest in a bricklaying career
* Basic understanding of the trade
* Willingness to learn to operate power tools and equipment
* Ability to follow directions and work independently
* Strong attention to detail
* A positive, can-do attitude
Role Requirements:
* Driver's licence and reliable vehicle
* Be willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen
* Previous on site or labouring experience (desirable)
* Certificate II in Construction Pathways or similar (desirable)
