Take up a leadership opportunity at Glenala State High School, joining a dynamic team as Head of Department - English.
We are looking for a leader with passion for English and a desire to work with EALD learners to continue to develop our large English Faculty.
Ideally the position would start in Semester 2 2025, with the possibility of extension.
This is a temporary full-time position for Semester Two, commencing 14 July 2025 until 12 December 2025, with the possibility of extension.

About The Role
As the Head of Department - English, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Lead the school department and curriculum focus in developing and providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
* Set high standards for student and staff performance.
* Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
* Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
* Be future-oriented and strategic.
* Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff.
* Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.
