The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Social Workers (Hospital in the Home) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Deliver Social Work services in a range of hospital and community-based environments, including home visiting as required
Utilise knowledge and understanding of the biopsychosocial framework of practice in hospital and community settings
Work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and the social work department
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
A tertiary degree in Social Work
Driver licence
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
Ability to work across a 7 day roster

Salary
Temporary full time and temporary part time (several positions, up to 6 months with the possibility of extension, hrs negotiable)
Base salary ranging from 3030.00 - $4 453.50 per fortnight or $39.86 - $58.59 per hour

Hospital in the Home services provide multi-disciplinary team care which aims to deliver safe, reliable and efficient client and family focused health care services, primarily in community setting including patient homes, workplaces, with some centre-based service delivery. Hospital in the Home services include, adult and children's hospital in the home. Hospital in the Home is a hospital substitution for the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service with the aim of providing medical and nursing care to adults in their home environment for conditions requiring medical and nursing intervention.
