Overview
Our client is a well‐established specialist funds management firm with a long‐standing presence in the Australian market. The business provides tailored finance solutions to borrowers while delivering attractive and sustainable returns to a loyal investor base across wholesale and high‐net‐worth segments.
This newly created role (SE Suburbs, Melbourne) reports to senior leaders within the Investor Relations function and will be responsible for building and maintaining long‐term, trusted relationships with investors.
The position focuses on proactive engagement, exceptional investor experience, and ongoing stewardship of capital, with growth in funds under management primarily driven through reinvestment, increased participation, and referrals.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of existing investors, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout the investment lifecycle
* Work closely with Investor Relations colleagues and Investment Operations to support the ongoing management of investor relationships and enquiries
* Build and deepen long‐term relationships with investors and distributors, delivering a consistently high‐quality investor experience
* Establish and implement a structured engagement model for mid‐tier investors, ensuring regular, value‐driven communication that supports retention and long‐term growth
* Conduct investor meetings and site visits as required to support investor understanding and confidence
* Proactively respond to investor enquiries and concerns via phone, meetings, and written communication
* Support growth of the investor base through strong relationships, advocacy, referrals, and engagement with suitable prospective investors introduced via the firm's network
* Represent the business at investor forums, roadshows, sponsorship activities, and industry events
* Ensure all investor communications and interactions are compliant with regulatory obligations, including PDS and AFSL requirements
* Maintain accurate investor records and demonstrate strict CRM discipline
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline preferred
* RG 146 (Tier 1 General Advice) qualification, or willingness to obtain upon commencement
* 3 to 5 years' experience in relationship management within financial services or funds management, ideally with exposure to property or private credit
* Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with investors across a range of investment needs and sophistication levels
* Relationship‐led mindset with a strong focus on long‐term value rather than transactional outcomes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally
* Proven ability to grow accounts organically through service excellence, trust, and consistent engagement
* Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
