Offer description

**Description**:
If you're an experienced video producer that's managed, defined, and led brand video projects, online video campaigns and TVCs — this is the job for you.

Vidico is looking to bring on a
**Supervising**
**Producer (Live-Action)** who will drive creative direction, production, and work with a production assistant. You will be managing multiple projects simultaneously — working with our Vidico's creative team and our clients.

As a Supervising Producer, you will be a creative ambassador for Vidico, leading by example to the rest of the team. Strong creative and organisational skills are essential, as is a solid background in commercial video production, and the creative-video process at large. Knowledge of storytelling, logistic coordination, editing techniques, design principles and how to interpret creative briefs must also be demonstrated.

This role will be
**based in Melbourne**.

We are an established full-service video-production agency.
- We work with some of the coolest companies in the world: Square, Spotify, Uber, Airtable, Amazon, Bailey Nelson, Koala, The Oodie and Temple & Webster to name a few.
- There's a 99% likelihood you've seen (and chuckled at) our ads on Youtube/TV in Australia.
- Our television campaigns across Australia and the U.S. have generated over 1.3 billion views.
- In the last year, Vidico's team has doubled in size and with that so has the opportunity for growth, learning and development.

**What will I work on?**:
If you were at Vidico last week, you'd be

You'd be writing a script to support your idea, and back this with an excellent mood-board or set of video examples that help the client understand your vision. You'd be coordinating aspects of pre-production, such as ideating storyboards, selecting the location, talent and crew.
- **Writing;** once a project is won, you'll need to further interpret the brief to refine the script for the project. Notes on visuals, transitions should be a part of your approach.
- **Storyboarding;** you'll then direct an illustrator on your vision for the storyboard, and bring your sense for tone and pacing to the project.
- **On-Set;** you'd then be running the show on set, and direct (or assistant-direct) a team of up to 15 people on some of our commercial shoots. Calmness under pressure, and clear communication is essential.
- **Communicating with Clients;** at each stage of the process, you'd be presenting your creative work to clients and guide them through the project. You'd work creatively to present solutions that are innovative and resourceful while ensuring that delivery times are maintained and kept on track.
- **On-Going Directives;** you'd be coaching junior to mid-level team members, instilling Vidico values, principles and correct procedure. You'll also help to educate and up-skill the live-action team with production advice and client service guidance.

**What will I bring?**:

- Minimum 5-6+ years of relevant work experience in an agency or production company
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Film and TV preferred
- Genuine interest and appreciation for storytelling, as this is at the heart of what we bring to the commercial content space
- High level of organisation skills, alongside excellent spoken and written communication
- Ability to manage priorities and clients expectations under pressure
- Proactivity in foreseeing client needs, and strategic priorities while nurturing long-term relationships
- Attention to detail and consistency in deliverables
