About the role
As a Senior Application and Platform Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape that drives our success. This is a unique opportunity to work in a purpose-driven organisation where your expertise will directly contribute to improving services for the community.
In this role, you will:
Take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, applying best practices and security standards.
Use your technical expertise to influence solution design from the very beginning, ensuring every application is fit for purpose and user-friendly.
Manage and evolve supporting technology platforms, keeping them efficient and reliable.
Identify opportunities for improvement in our technology environment and recommend smart, scalable solutions.
Establish development principles and patterns that set the standard across multiple projects.
Deliver high-quality, low-maintenance software that stands the test of time.
- Collaborate with external ICT vendors to resolve incidents quickly and keep systems running smoothly.

About you
You are an experienced technology leader with a strong background in software design and development, and you thrive in complex environments where innovation and problem-solving are key. You have significant experience working with Microsoft technologies including .NET (C#), Azure, SharePoint Online and exposure to Power Platform and you know how to leverage these technologies to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. You balance competing priorities with ease, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard. Staying ahead of emerging technologies excites you, and you bring fresh ideas to improve platforms and applications that support critical business outcomes. Your approach is proactive and collaborative, and you're comfortable working across teams and with external partners to achieve results.

The essential requirements for this role
You must:
* Be willing to do a Criminal Record Check
* Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)
* Possess relevant tertiary and/or professional qualifications in ICT or related discipline or significant demonstrated experience in leading software design and development
