About the role
Thiess is seeking an experienced Mining Supervisor at our Caval Ridge Mine located 6 km southeast of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin. The Mining Supervisor will provide effective production and safety leadership to the project production crew, ensuring that production targets are met, a safe and healthy workplace is maintained, and community & environmental compliance is adhered to.
Roster will be 7/7 rotating day/night shift.
Responsibilities
- Champion for all safety management plans & procedures
- Effectively communicate with other departments
- Leadership and development of crew
- Ensure production targets are met
- Conduct toolbox talks and shift prestart talks
- Conduct statutory inspections of an open cut operation
About you
You are a high achieving and focused Mining Supervisor with previous experience in a similar role. You are committed to driving a high performing and inclusive team.
- Experience in leading a high performance team in Production Mining Environment
- Commitment to HSEC
- Ability to work in a fluid/energetic environment
- Ability to work in an adaptive team
- Experience with computer-based data and management tools (e.g. Infomine)
