The Emergency Relief & Administration Officer delivers high-quality general administration support and contributes to the smooth and professional operation of MASP.

MASP is a not-for-profit organisation located in Swan Hill, Victoria and is seeking to fill a full-time ongoing position.

The Emergency Relief & Administration Officer (ERAO) delivers high-quality general administration support and contributes to the smooth and professional operation of MASP. The role includes a variety of essential duties to enhance service quality and efficiency, with a strong focus on the day-to-day operations at the Swan Hill office.

The ERAO plays a key role in the delivery of MASP's Emergency Relief program. The primary focus is to ensure the consistent administration of the program, including client intake and assessment, data management, coordination with internal teams and external partners, and timely support for individuals and families in financial crisis using trauma-informed principles.

Multitasking, attention to detail, and professionalism are essential and experience in corporate administration or community services is preferred. Due to the location of the position, the ability to work autonomously, strong communication skills and high-level computer skills are also required.

The ERAO is required to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across multiple Local Government Areas. This will include the need to attend regular face-to-face meetings, travel via company vehicle on regional routes and may include overnight stays.

Expected commencing salary of $79,436.15 per annum plus statutory superannuation. Because MASP is a non-profit organisation, you also have the option to maximise your income through salary packaging.

This role can involve emotionally demanding situations and exposure to psychological hazards, including client distress, trauma disclosures, and urgent responses. MASP prioritises staff wellbeing by providing supervision, debriefing, reflective practice, safety measures, and access to wellbeing resources. We encourage open communication—raise any concerns with your supervisor, management, or the OHS Committee as soon as possible.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential role-specific skills, knowledge and experience

* Demonstrated experience in applying policy and process in a consistent manner.
* Demonstrated high-level administration skills, including proficiency in data entry and reporting systems.
* Experience in providing reception and general administration support for a diverse range of programs or services.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders across various municipalities.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills together with written and verbal communication skills, and proven ability to work remotely and/or in a virtual setting.

Highly desirable role-specific skills, knowledge and experience

* Experience in a not for profit / charitable organisation.
* Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or a related field.
* Experience in providing direct support for vulnerable community members.
