Our client is an American pharmaceutical company. We are currently looking for a Regional Payroll Specialist - APAC will responsible for payroll project execution and non-AU payroll operations such as India, Hong Kong, and Thailand (APAC countries).
You will be ensuring accurate and timely delivery of the APAC payroll services compliant with the organization and legal requirements; managing vendor relationships, and responding to the payroll operations queries from employees.
This role will interface with business partners in HR, Global HR, Compensation, Benefits as well as vendors.
**Responseiblities**:
- Implement processes related to payroll delivery.
- Provide support to complex inquiries related to payroll.
- Facilitate and participate in governance process used for analysis and approval of payroll work requests and projects.
- Collaborate with Comp & Ben to understand the savings and benefits calculations and the impact on payroll calculation.
- Work closely with the HR Team.
- Assess the delivery impact of any HR Management Policy changes, regulatory or compliance changes may have on the service provider and company Payroll operations
- Aid in overseeing the implementation of payroll system solutions.
- Evaluate the vendor solutions for time and attendance and recommend changes as contracts are due to expire.
- Interface with Comp & Ben to identify and address any administrative needs related to global compensation and benefit programs.
- Leverage expertise to produce solutions that enable global consistency and standardization and facilitate exceptional performance.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years Payroll relevant business experience of Australia or other APAC countries including experience with time and attendance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Payroll, Payroll Tax, and Payroll Accounting and related end to end processes.
- Strong SAP Payroll technical expertise a plus.
- Experience with time and attendance systems.
- Strong Excel skill.
- Ability to influence the actions of others through collaborative working relationships. Desire to work in a fast paced, change oriented, complex setting.
