The role
Premix Concrete SA, part of Adbri, is looking for a driven and relationship-focused Account Manager to step into a well-established portfolio and build on strong market momentum. With four plants across Adelaide and a growing decorative concrete offering, this is a rare opportunity to inherit a loyal customer base while still having room to make your mark!
Based in our Salisbury head office, this isn't your typical sales role. You'll be replacing a long‐standing industry figure and spend time learning from one of the industry's most experienced operators – gaining hands‐on exposure that most competitors simply can't offer!
This is a relationship‐led Account Management role with a blend of business development, focused on growing an established portfolio while identifying new opportunities across the Adelaide market.
You'll
* Manage and grow a portfolio of builders, concreters, architects and key clients, building long‐term partnerships
* Identify new business opportunities while increasing market share, revenue and margin across existing accounts
* Maintain CRM activity, pipeline tracking, forecasting and provide regular sales insights and reporting
* Stay close to the market – monitoring competitor activity, pricing and customer trends to inform your approach
* Collaborate with internal teams (allocations, customer service and operations) to ensure seamless delivery and strong customer outcomes
* Support customers with product selection, particularly within decorative concrete (Stylecrete), and contribute to new product ideas
* Balance time between the field and showroom, engaging customers face‐to‐face and supporting walk‐ins when required
* Maintain display centres, support social media initiatives, and manage debtor follow‐ups with a strong commercial mindset
The Experience
We're open on background – concrete knowledge and experience is helpful, but not essential. If you understand the industry and customers, the team will teach you the technical side. What you'll bring:
* Experience in sales within construction, building materials or a related industry
* Existing relationships with builders, concreters or developers (highly regarded)
* A natural ability to build trust and long‐term partnerships
* Strong communication skills – comfortable on the phone and face‐to‐face
* A proactive, self‐starting mindset with the ability to manage your own time
* Resilience, responsiveness and a customer‐first approach
Benefits
* Join Adbri, an iconic Australian company – established in 1882, with 200+ plants, 8 brands and 5 joint ventures supplying essential construction materials nationwide
* Structured learning and development pathways with real career progression opportunities
* Generous discounts including retail, fuel, car rental, Qantas Club and exclusive savings on Adbri products
* Extra leave options such as purchased leave, parental leave and volunteer leave
* Wellbeing support through our confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
* Service awards and recognition celebrating your contribution and milestones
