Jetwave Marine are seeking an experienced and highly motivated finance professional who can confidently administer end-to-end payroll as well as accounts payable across our two entities.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on accuracy, and values collaboration within the Finance Team. Experience in the Maritime/construction industry is desirable.
As a Payroll & Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of Jetwave Marine's financial operations by administering:
* Fortnightly payroll processing (including compliance obligations and reporting); and
* Accounts Payable function (invoice processing, reconciliations, and supplier payments)
Skills and Qualifications
* 3+ years' experience in payroll, ideally in a complex environment with multiple enterprise agreements.
* Payroll experience with a FIFO workforce, including leave entitlement calculations.
* Sound understanding of finance, accounts and bookkeeping principles.
* Experience working across multiple entities.
* Experience using:
* Xero (Payroll and/or accounting)
* Definitiv (highly regarded)
* ApprovalMax, Dext, and/or Simpro (highly regarded)
Payroll Key Responsibilities
* Administer end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing.
* Ensure compliance with payroll obligations, including:
* PAYG withholding
* Superannuation Guarantee requirements
* Payroll Tax
* Processing staff reimbursements and maintain accurate payroll records.
* Prepare and provide payroll report to management as required.
* Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and support month-end close activities.
* Assist with payroll complexities such multiple Enterprise Agreements and Awards
* FIFO workforce requirements (including leave entitlement calculations) where applicable.
Accounts Payable Key Responsibilities
* Review and process invoices, including matching to purchase orders and verifying billing accuracy.
* Liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive vendor relationships.
* Prepare payment runs and ensure timely supplier payments.
* Reconcile company credit card and supplier statements
* Contribute to process improvements and workflow efficiencies across AP and Payroll.
