Job Advertisement: Disability Support Worker


About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals living with a range of disabilities. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others and is looking for a rewarding career in the disability sector.


Key Responsibilities:

* Provide personal care and daily living assistance, including assistance with mobility, bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support individuals with physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities to achieve their personal goals.
* Implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
* Promote independence and dignity while ensuring the safety and well‑being of clients.
* Assist with community engagement and social activities.
* Provide emotional support and encourage positive mental health.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with policies and regulations.


Skills & Qualifications:

* Certificate 3 in Disability or equivalent qualification (or willingness to obtain).
* Experience in the disability support sector (preferred but not essential).
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic with strong communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* A valid driver's license and reliable transport.
* First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
* National Police Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
* Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.
* Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
