Design the networks powering regional WA's future
Play a critical role in keeping Western Australia's regional communities connected by delivering smart, safe and electricity designs. As a Distribution Design Engineer, you'll work across customer funded and capital projects, shaping network solutions that support growing towns and essential services across the Mid‐West and beyond.
Based in with regular regional travel, this role offers meaningful technical work, autonomy, and the chance to see your designs built on real networks where reliability truly matters.
What You Will Do
* Deliver simple and complex distribution, including estimates, costings, drawings and supporting documentation, across capital and customer funded projects.
> sound design management and QA processes, maintaining accurate asset data and network reliability outcomes.
* Work with internal delivery teams, contractors and technical specialists ensure constructable, compliant designs.
* Eng with and external stakeholders, translating technical requirements into practical, customer focused solutions.
> What Sets You Apart3're a confident distribution design professional who enjoys working autonomously, managing competing priorities, and delivering practical solutions in a regulated network environment. You will have:
o A degree level qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), with eligibility for Engineers Australia.
o Significant experience in electricity distribution design on WA networks or similar regulated environments.
o Solid understanding of distribution network standards, safety legislation and regulatory frameworks.
o Proven experience in commercial design, cost estimation and design lifecycle management.
o Clear, adaptable communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, contractors and technical teams.
