Job Opportunity: Service Manager in Tasmania
As Foundations Care continues to expand, we are excited to announce a new opportunity in Tasmania. We are seeking a dynamic and talented leader to join us as a Service Manager in our Salaried Care Program, based in the Hobart region.
The Salaried Care Service Manager is a key leadership and operational role, focusing on supporting and mentoring a team of direct support staff to achieve personalized life and goal plans for young people.
You will oversee service quality and outcomes, lead by example, and provide hands-on support in complex situations. The role requires establishing and maintaining key relationships, demonstrating leadership in team financials, operations, and human resources, while collaborating closely with relevant departments.
This management position is based in our Salaried Care Home, working five days a week, Monday to Friday. It is initially a 12-month fixed-term role, which includes participation in a rotating on-call roster.
About You:
* Significant practice experience in a relevant field, with enthusiasm for combining practice, leadership, and management skills.
* Frontline management skills in leading/supporting care workers to achieve meaningful outcomes for young people.
* Leadership skills, including staff management, development, performance, and review.
* Experience or knowledge in Child Protection, Youth Services, or related fields.
* Operational planning experience, including reporting, compliance, and financial management (budgeting and forecasting).
Training/Qualifications:
* Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (Residential Care) or a related qualification in Community, Youth Work, or Human Services, or a relevant diploma/tertiary qualification.
