Holmwood Aged Care are currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team on a part time basis.
About the Role
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for providing timely and efficient professional housekeeping services (cleaning & laundry) that are responsive to meeting the needs of the residents and the facility operations.
The Housekeeping Supervisor will also be responsible for but not limited to:
* Follow accepted Infection Control Guidelines and practices including the wearing of the designated PPE.
* Ensure a high standard of customer service when interacting with residents, including presenting in a professional manner at all times with residents, resident representatives, staff and external agencies.
* Supervision of cleaning/laundry staff to ensure cleaning and laundry processes are achieved to a high standard.
* Ensure sufficient supplies of cleaning products, clean linen (sheets, pillow cases, towels, face washers, table cloths etc.) are available daily in accordance with stock levels determined in consultation with the Facility Manager.
* Ensure compliance with the correct procedures for safe handling and use of Chemical product and equipment as per the manufacturer's guidelines.
* Receive, process and handle resident or resident representative complaints in regard to housekeeping services in an appropriate, responsive and timely manner.
* Demonstrate a commitment to providing a caring and inclusive service environment that is safe and promotes the resident's privacy, dignity, identity, diversity, cultural, spiritual, emotional and assists them to meet their needs, goals and preferences.
About you
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience working in a commercial laundry or cleaning service or aged care services (desirable)
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to build and foster strong working relationships
* Demonstrated organisational and time management skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment and establish priorities
* Ability to comply with safe work practices and manual handling practices.
* Ability to supervise staff and contribute to building a team focused on high quality customer service
The successful applicant will be required to have the following:
* Willingness to obtain valid Police Check
* Australian/New Zealand residency or a valid working visa
