About the role
Join us and lead the Property Services and Facilities Branch ensuring strategic management and operational delivery of safe, functional and community-focused property and facility services.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Manage branch operations, including budget preparation, resource allocation and program delivery with safety-first leadership
* Provide advice and negotiations on leasing, acquisitions, State land dealings, property market trends and cost effective management of infrastructure
* Oversee the operational management and service delivery for day-to-day council owned facilities
* Lead the development and implementation of long-term property and facility strategies, initiatives and policies and procedures
* Provide advice to stakeholders, including Councillors and management regarding effective property services and facilities management
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in property management, facility management or related field
* Experience in achieving strategic and operational objectives
* Demonstrated experience in operational service delivery in a fast-paced and complex environment
* Proven capability in navigating real estate law, property titling and tenure matters
* Established financial management skills
* High level of inter-personal and communication skills, both oral and written to effectively lead a team to success
