Offer description

Imagine a role that combines your passion for psychology or social work with your expertise in offender assessment and rehabilitation.

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Clinical Lead, working in the Offender Services and Programs unit at Darwin Correctional Centre. In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive criminogenic risk and needs assessments, delivering individual and group interventions, and providing professional input into treatment plans and Parole Board reports.

To succeed in this role, you will require tertiary qualifications in psychology or social work, unconditional registration to practice as a psychologist or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. You should also have demonstrated experience in the administration and interpretation of clinical and forensic assessment tools, as well as knowledge of current best-practice trends in offender assessment and rehabilitation.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary package, including 6 weeks' recreational leave and 3 weeks' personal leave, negotiable flexible work arrangements, assistance with relocation costs, and the chance to experience the unique lifestyle and culture of the Northern Territory.

The successful applicant will be required to liaise and consult with internal and external stakeholders on issues relevant to offender management, provide advice and support to colleagues, and contribute to the development and delivery of treatment programs.

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve outstanding outcomes for offenders and the community. Your high standard of communication and interpersonal skills, as well as your ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, will be essential in this role.

We encourage applications from experienced professionals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others.
