Senior SAP BTP Developer
* Contract until June with 12 months extension

Overview
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to design, build, and support cloud based applications and extensions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions that integrate with SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors.
Software Engineers provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle, write optimised and high quality code, and ensure the reliability and functionality of solutions delivered by their team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering, including but not limited to, the following:
* Building end to end applications using backend technologies such as SAP CAP, Node.js, and Java, and frontend frameworks including SAP Fiori and SAPUI5
* Developing cloud native ABAP extensions in the SAP BTP ABAP Environment for S/4HANA
* Implementing SAP Build Process Automation to reduce manual processes and minimise custom coding
* Defining long term SAP BTP architecture and migrating legacy customisations to side by side extensions
* Modelling data structures using SAP HANA Cloud or SAP Datasphere
* Facilitating design workshops to capture requirements and define future state processes
* Ensuring all developments comply with SAP BTP development standards and protect the S/4HANA core
* Designing and building scalable side by side extensions using the CAP model
* Configuring SAP BTP subaccounts, destinations, and authentication protocols such as OAuth and SAML using SAP IAS
* Developing and optimising data models using SAP HANA Cloud and CDS
* Managing CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment to Cloud Foundry or Kyma
* Implementing workflows and bots using SAP Build Process Automation

Essential Criteria
* Demonstrated experience of ten years or more in the IT industry, with extensive hands on experience in SAP BTP development and integration with SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
* Proven experience designing and implementing SAP BTP solutions within large public sector organisations
* Evidence of at least two end to end SAP BTP implementation cycles, including experience in SAP Sovereign Cloud or SAP Private Cloud Edition environments
* Strong technical skills in Node.js, Java, JavaScript, Python, and ABAP Cloud, with UI and UX experience using SAP Fiori and SAPUI5, and hands on use of tools such as Business Application Studio, Eclipse ADT, GitHub, and DevOps pipelines. Demonstrated experience with SAP CAP, SAP RAP, and SAP Integration Suite
Desirable Criteria
* Experience developing REST and OData APIs for SAP and non SAP systems
* Experience working in large and complex organisations
* Experience working within SAP Sovereign Cloud or SAP Private Cloud Edition
* Experience implementing and operating DevOps practices and tooling
