About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support to individuals living with a disability, in line with their NDIS plans. You will help clients live independently, participate in the community, and achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities Personal Support:
* Assist with personal care tasks (e.g. bathing, dressing, toileting)
* Provide mobility support and manual handling where required
* Support with continence management and medication administration (if qualified)
Daily Living Support:
* Meal preparation and feeding support
* Domestic duties including cleaning, laundry, and basic home care
* Assistance with budgeting, grocery shopping, and routine planning
Community Participation:
* Support clients to access social and recreational activities
* Accompany clients to medical appointments or community events
* Encourage skill development and independence in community settings
Documentation & Compliance:
* Complete accurate daily case notes and incident reports
* Follow NDIS support plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments
* Adhere to NDIS Practice Standards, privacy laws, and workplace health & safety policies
Communication & Collaboration:
* Liaise professionally with clients, families, support coordinators, and allied health professionals
* Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and supervision
* Advocate for clients' rights and individual choice
Essential Criteria
* Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or related field
* Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Children Check (if applicable)
* Full Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle (with comprehensive insurance)
* COVID-19 Vaccination (as per current health regulations)
Desirable
* Manual Handling and Medication Administration Training
* Experience with complex behaviours or high-needs participants
* Knowledge of NDIS reporting requirements
