Role details The Proserpine Hospital is seeking applications for an Operating Theatre Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. Your opportunity To provide efficient and effective operational support services within the Operating Theatre area by following established standards and procedures and supporting a highly compatible and supportive working team environment. About the Team The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities: The Community Health Campus - Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus - Proserpine. The hospital is a 33-bed acute hospital, which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The Community Health Campus offers a range of Community Health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team. The Operational Services Department plays an important role in providing a 7 day a week service supporting the delivery of a quality and cost-effective health service. A wide range of functions are covered by the team, including cleaning, clinical support, facility maintenance coordination, food services, grounds maintenance, garden services, home care services, removal of waste, linen services, transport of patients, equipment and materials around the hospital, stores, transport and ward services. The Operating Theatre Unit specialises in General, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, and Dental surgery.
