Position Classification: Counsellor Level 4, Senior Psychologist & Social Worker Level 4
Remuneration: Dependent on Qualifications

- Counsellor & Social Worker Level 4 – $61.35 - $62.84 per hour

- Senior Psychologist - $60.12 - $65.14 per hour

What you'll be doing
As the Pregnancy Family Meeting Coordinator, you’ll lead a frontline initiative designed to support pregnant women at risk of their babies entering out-of-home care. This voluntary program promotes early engagement and coordinated planning between WSLHD and the Department of Communities & Justice (DCJ).

- Manage and oversee referrals, facilitators, and program operations across WSLHD.

- Facilitate Pregnancy Family Meetings and train current facilitators.

- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Provide mentorship, supervision, and professional development for facilitators.

- Contribute to program evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria:

- Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, social science or related field meeting Health Professionals or Psychologists Award Classification for social work, counselling or psychology.

- Registration: Eligibility for practising membership of Australian Association of Social Workers; or Current Full Registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); or eligibility for registration with the Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (ARCAP)

Selection Criteria:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, social science or related field meeting Health Professionals or Psychologists Award Classification for social work, counselling or psychology and eligible for membership of relevant associations.

- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of health services to at risk and vulnerable children, young people and their families.

- Demonstrated understanding of child protection policy and practice and the needs of children and young people in out of home care, including the roles, responsibilities and functioning of health and human service agencies and non-government organisations involved in meeting these needs.

- Demonstrated understanding of Pregnancy Family Meetings with experience and /or the capacity evidenced by knowledge and skills to facilitate pregnancy family meetings.

- Demonstrated experience in providing supervision, mentoring, training and experience in leadership and /or management.

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other professionals both internally and with external partners and the ability to communicate, consult and negotiate effectively with senior executives, management, health staff, DCJ staff and external stakeholders.

- Demonstrated high level written & verbal communication skills, including report writing skills and computer skills.

- Current driver’s licence valid in NSW and willingness to use for work purposes.
