About The Role
Drug Health Services (DHS) aims to reduce the harms associated with substance use for individuals, families and communities and to prevent drug misuse.
Our Mission is to deliver evidence based and patient centred care in collaboration with other health and non-health partners to improve the health outcomes of individuals, their families and broader community.
Services are provided at Canterbury, Concord Repatriation General and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals and at Canterbury, Marrickville and Redfern Health Centres.
Selected programs offer services in community and via approved outreach arrangements.
In This Role, You Will
Provide senior clinical leadership within Social Work service provision including optimisation of patient/client care delivery.
Support the mentoring and development of staff including provision of supervision and direction to Level 1/2 staff and students on clinical placements in accordance with the award.
Provide a short term, community-based linkage service for Drug & Alcohol clients.
Work 2 days a week, job sharing (preferred Thursday Friday) - in a small multidisciplinary team made up of 2 Social Workers (Level 3) & 1 Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 1).

Ideal Candidate
Must hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, with Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
Advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of social work, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
Ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to initiate, lead, complete and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and/or research focused on patient/client outcomes.
