Nova Holistic Spa is a unique boutique wellness space located in central Hobart. Created by 2 sisters in 2023, our services centre around holistic wellness and the integration of treatments that optimises cellular health and integrate mind, body and spirit connection in a natural and nurturing way.

About the role: We currently have a casual position available (approx 20hrs/wk) for an experienced & confident day spa receptionist who has a passion for holistic wellness.
As the Front of House, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment. You'll oversee the front desk, manage bookings, drive retail sales and memberships and assist our team in delivering exceptional client experiences. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a client-facing position and enjoys working in a fast-paced, ever changing and dynamic environment. Must have flexibility in availability.
Key Responsibilities
* Client Experience & Bookings: Greet clients with a warm, friendly approach, ensuring they feel welcomed as soon as they walk through the door.
* Manage client bookings, ensuring appointments are scheduled efficiently while promoting rebooking for future visits.
* Recommend additional treatments to enhance the client experience.
* Be the conduit for a genuine, caring and nurturing client experience throughout the client journey.
* Experience with online booking software (Phorest and Advantage).
* Experience selling memberships.
* Promote skincare products/services and tailor recommendations to meet the unique needs of each client.
* Stay updated on the latest product offerings to effectively meet sales targets.
* Consistently achieve and exceed weekly sales goals, all while maintaining a high standard of service.
* Maintain a clean, organised environment that reflects the brand's aesthetic at all times.
* Learn and be able to maintain day spa facilities.
* Assist with inventory management, including restocking and tracking stock levels.
* Help coordinate team schedules to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Experienced with creating engaging social media content (stories).
* Experience with graphic design (proficiency with Canva).
* High level of computer literacy (especially Google Suite).
* Build strong relationships with clients, encouraging loyalty and repeat visits.
* Handle client inquiries with professionalism and address any concerns promptly.
* Keep accurate client records, noting preferences and past treatments to deliver a personalised experience.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a customer service, reception, or front-of-house role, ideally in the beauty/wellness industry.
* Strong sales skills with the confidence to promote services and retail products.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients in a friendly, warm and professional manner.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
* Tech Savvy – proficiency with technology, MAC OS, Google Drive, Canva and creating content for social media marketing.
* Creative, reliable, confident, enthusiastic and eager to always learn.
* Minimum of 1 year experience in similar role.
* Must be available to work Saturday and the occasional Sunday.
