What's the role?
As a Senior Architect in Westpac Group Technology, you'll play a pivotal role in designing innovative solutions that power our customer engagement domain.
You'll work closely with the Principal Architect and a high-performing team to analyse complex business and technology landscapes, develop architectural strategies, and guide projects that transform the way we serve our customers Key Responsibilities Analyse IT solutions to ensure they meet business needs and accurately represent technical requirements through collaboration with users, technology teams, and suppliers.
Track technology requirements across all phases and contribute to impact assessments for changes.
Drive continuous improvement of design methodologies and processes, ensuring compliance with Westpac Group standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders to influence architectural direction.
Provide expert technology advice to support business strategy and investment decisions.
What do I need?
Proven experience in solution architecture within banking or financial services.
Strong understanding of customer-centric journeys and information security principles.
Hands-on experience with modernisation initiatives, API integration, and event-driven architectures.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline Why join us?
