Development Engineer
The Development Engineer will be an integral member of a newly rebuilt Development Assessment Team, committed to achieving high performance and excellence in development engineering. Collaborating closely with industry partners, the role is responsible for delivering quality development outcomes and providing expert guidance to all stakeholders on development and subdivision matters under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Regulations. A strong customer focus is central to the position, as is working jointly with colleagues to ensure prompt, reliable and customer‐centric service. The role also supports enhancement of digital lodgement, assessment, approvals and inspection systems, and contributes to developing outcome‐driven, customer‐connected processes within the team.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high quality development outcomes and provide expert guidance on development and subdivision matters under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Regulations.
* Collaborate with industry partners, colleagues and stakeholders to ensure prompt, reliable and customer‐centric service.
* Support the enhancement of digital lodgement, assessment, approvals and inspection systems.
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong development engineering experience supported by a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Proficient in applying the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 to development assessments.
* Current White Card and Class C Driver's Licence.
* Proficiency with technical documentation, compliance requirements, digital systems and solid computer skills.
* Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder relationship skills.
* Experience in Local Government is an advantage.
