About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Toowoomba.
Job Description: As a Disability Support Worker, you will be working within Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes to support people with disabilities to live as independently as possible. You will provide daily personal care, use manual handling tools, and manage complex behaviours. In this role, you will be based in residential care home sites in Toowoomba, caring for clients with disabilities.
Your Key Duties Will Include:
* Helping people achieve their NDIS goals by developing daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills, and budgeting.
* Assisting with personal care as required, meal planning, cooking, light cleaning, and facilitating community connections.
* Supporting daily activities, such as going for walks, or accompanying appointments.
* Helping maintain connections with family, friends, and services.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Ideal applicants will have a Certificate 3 qualification (desirable) and experience working in SIL home environments and managing complex behaviour. Additionally, they must hold current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), First Aid and CPR certification, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an Australian Driver's License with comprehensive insurance.
